Meet the Team

Camera Recycle Project couldn't operate without a dedicated bunch of most-of-the-time volunteers, dedicated mentors, photography enthusiasts, and community lovers.

Jade Stott (Founder, Managing Director)

BA Hons. (Psychology, Addiction Studies), Interpreneur, Cultural enthusiast, Photographer, ï»¿â€‹Youth Worker, Kindness Advocator, Foundation for Young Australians' Young Social Pioneer 2013-2014

"My ultimate dream is to establish a model of technology libraries that is culturally and socially inclusive, an informal fun creative hub, where the concept of hiring technology just as we do library books is normal practice. In so doing, we address the digital divide and ensure that every young person has the opportunity to express themselves creatively."

Liza Semler (Program Manager, WA)

BA (Anthropology), Freelance photographer, founder Collective Focus, groovy workshop facilitator

"Young people continually surprise me with new ideas and images and their ability to try new things without overthinking. I love seeing young people experiment with the camera - to watch them go from focusing on the technicalities of a new piece of equipment to thinking about the stories they can tell about themselves and their surrounds. It's a really rewarding process."

Brett Dorron (Program Manager, VIC)

Advanced Diploma (Photography), Youth worker

Brett has been a professional photographer for over 20 years, and first started working as a mentor for Camera Recycle Project in Western Australia in 2009. He soon realised that he is a big kid himself, and that his passion for photography is shared by many young people in our programs. Now as Program Manager in Victoria Brett's professional expertise, excitement for photography, and compassion and respect for young people is an asset to CRP.

Special mention also to Michael Sarich, Guled Abdul, Ben Dorron, Alisa Blakeney and Anton Blume for your valuable time and expertise.
