Where You From (Elcho Island, Tiwi Islands, Palm Island, Woorabinda mix-up)

Camera Recycle Project partnered up with Cathy Freeman Foundation and Landers & Rogers Law Firm in Melbourne to deliver a 2-hour beat-making workshop with students visiting Melbourne from remote Indigenous communities. Students won the trip for their excellent school attendance. This is what we achieved in just 2 hours with a room full of strangers, and a round-robin style set-up where you could film, photograph, rap lyrics, write lyrics, work on the music video editing - or just watch the chaos - whatever suited you. It was AMAZING...we hope this music video makes these young people feel proud of where they're from and how much talent they have, and honoured we got to hang out with them in Melbourne.
